Okay so this is going to be a bit of running commentary as I watch Gilmore Girls from the beginning again, I know I touched on this lightly in last weeks catch up but I wanted to do something a little more in depth, my last Gilmore Girls post seemed to go down really well with you guys last time so I thought I would go a bit more in depth, I will keep changing this post so you will need to keep checking back as I will update the same post every time until Blogger tells me off which it probably will do.
Anyway so we started off with the pilot and my god it was good, it gave a great overview of the show and introduced everyone really well. As I said a few things did upset me though with this episode mainly because It is so different from all the rest but I still loved it even though nothing seemed to match. I know it is very hard for film crews and a lot of the time the sets will need to be changed and there is nothing you can do but still was a little funny to watch especially as I watched the first and the second episode back to back.

I cannot believe that Luke is so far down in the credits though that made me laugh because if you have watched this show through he seems to clamber up the list through the seasons. I also noticed that this show seems to change its credits a lot, overtime characters come and go from these like it is no big deal. Some changes:
Dean, Jason, Jess, Paris
I loved the whole setting up done in the first episode although I do not think they did some of the characters justice, Sookie for instance I could see myself getting very annoyed at her if she stayed in her clutzy ways all through the show but luckily it seems she goes on a healthy and safety course and all is well. Then there is Richard, he is a completely different character, he is completely and horribly stuck up in the first couple of episode’s and then it seems they realised that actually Rory and her grandfather can actually get along, I loved the golfing trip in episode 3:Now the Friday night dinners is a concept I could get used to, I think that these will always be hilariously funny. And credit where credit is due, it seems that Lorelai and Emily are always the one carrying most of this responsibility.
Ahh Cinnamons wake, this has to be the most hilarious episode ever, and this is the first time we fully appreciate what a weird town Stars Hollow is. I also love the awkward moments going on between Dean and Rory in this episode and find them really amusing. The fact that they have a funeral for a cat in this episode is by the by. The Max aspect of this episode was complete flop, I mean he turns up for a date and she has forgotten? Don’t you think you should just give up there Max?
Then we have the Party episode. This episode is great and love to see that Rory does actually have some balls and will speak up for herself because I was kind of starting to see her as a bit of a wet blanket but in this one, her going off on Emily is great to see. It was also great to see the contrast between tastes, Emily with her lavishly posh, frills and lace affair and Lorelai with her childish, just her to have fun party was great. I also love the shopping trip in this episode and it was lovely to see that although they spend most of the time at each other’s throats Emily and Lorelai can actually get along, look see I’ll prove it:
It was also great to see the whole town again; I so want to live there. Luke’s gesture was great as well, I think that he and Lorelai are made for each other, then they could be one happy family. Yay.

Yay its Christmas in stars hollow, I love how the whole town gets involved, they never would in my town. Michel is also becoming a fave character of my, I love his sense of humour! I think it is quite sad that all three generations of Gilmore Girls can’t get on, I think that could be hilarious, although the massive contrast in the youngest generations and the oldest, makes for hilarious watching. I also had another thought that it would be great if my mum would get along with my boyfriends. This is also another great episode for Luke and Lorelai, with this scene making me love Luke even more. 
Hey again, this episode is hilarious, I love the chemistry going on between Lorelai and Luke, this is the first time we have ever really seen these two on the show, at least in this kind of long winded banter conversation.

Yay, it is obviously the dating season in Stars Hollow, this episode it is Lorelai and Max though and I have to say that looks like one of the best dates ever. I am also a snow freak and so I wish for the snow like you see in this episode. Then there is the fact that Luke is becoming more and more involved in the storyline which I love, he is such a great character.

Paris is Burning:
This episode is a great one, Max and Lorelai’s date is hilarious. Oh Lorelai! How could you upset Sookie like that! She is such a lovely person, so sad when these two fight. That was also another mean bit on Lorelai’s part, breaking up with your boyfriend through your daughter? And I have just seen why Paris is such a pain. Rory and Paris finally start to get along. Jackson and Sookie are so sweet, I love them together. Here is a great little recap of the episode:Double date:
Wow you just know this whole double double date thing is going to go wrong. i do love Sookie and Jackson together, they totally suit each other and Rune makes me laugh. i also love moving the date to Luke's, anyone would be better than Rune. Here are some awesome clips:

The next episode was a rummage sale, my house looks like that a lot of the time sale or no sale. You can just tell as soon as Paris and Co visit Stars Hollow something is going to go wrong. Donna Reed has to be one of the most hilarious episodes, even if it is just Rory in that costume. I would also like to say that i wish my school work was looking after a bird rather than papers though the whole, Luke Lorelai and Stella scene is hilarious. I love the chemistry between Lorelai and Chris, they make me laugh every time i see them on screen together.I think I love Christopher whoever he's on screen with though. Okay so i don't like him very much any more, totally ignoring Luke's lovely sign. Star crossed lovers and other strangers:
Three month anniversary wow that has gone fast. HaHa Lorelai don't look so shocked maybe Emily does have a heart! OMG Rachel! i love pretty much all of this episode although the highlight has to be Richard letting Lorelai escape out of the window.
Emily in Wonderland: Okay so my box only recorded half of this episode but from what i can remember, i love Emily's face when she sees Rory and Lorelai's first home although for a sixteen year old girls i think Lorelai's effort is amazing. Lol, Mrs Kim, i love Mrs Kim, she is hilarious and i love the dynamic between her and Lane. There is also a deleted scene for this episode, the first ever, shows a quality programme,

Hammers and Veils episode:
I love this episode because once again Rory seems like the adult and Lorelai the child, although this seems like a lot of the episodes. The hammer is hilarious! I really want one of those! See it here. I also love Lorelai and Luke in this clip, also there is a great bonding moment with Lorelai and Emily: Here. Lane panics when her mother buys her a one way ticket to visit family.

The road trip to Harvard:
Okay so missed this episode but it is hilarious from what I can remember with Lorelai running away and taking Rory with her, all the way to Harvard, and you thought the Stars Hollow people were weird you haven't met the woman who runs the inn they stay in.
This is the great clip where Lorelai confronts Emily about her reaction to her news, i think it is hilarious!
Presenting Lorelai Gilmore: I love this episode purely because Christopher is in it, i am growing to like his character a lot, although i am still a supporter of Luke and Lorelai. Although the Chris/ Lorelai banter is great.

Like Mother Like Daughter: The Gilmores are so not antisocial, look at all the wierdo's they attract. I also love to think of a world run by Lorelai Gilmore, think it would always be in fast forward. example a: here.It is also a great episode for Lorelai and Emily, they actually looked like they had fun together in this episode.
And we find out that even in the prestigious Chilton you get secret sororities who turn everyone to idiots, but it is good to see Rory stand up for herself more.
The Ins and Outs of Inns: First off, can i just say, who knew a fake "dead body" could cause so much drama, only in starshollow i guess.I love this episode because it gives us more tidbits about their life before the show and i have to say that Mia, after all their talk was not what i expected. It is also great though in this episode to see how far Emily and Lorelai have come. This episode also has the scene where is start to fall for Jess and little bit:
Okay so here is what i have learnt from this episode, i think i should have given Shakespeare a chance, although it might just be the gilmore girlfied version that i like. I quite like this episode, i kind of start to feel for Tristan, and he has some great scenes in this episode, check them out here.

This is another great episode for the quirky Stars Hollow and their weirdness, although i love the idea of buying a basket/ date with someone. I also love how they are all involved in each others lives, i mean Patty organising a date for Lorelai? Haha i have to say i love Jess in this episode, i never really liked Dean, sorry! Those Lazy- Hazy- Crazy Days: I love the dream sequence at the start of this episode, it is so believable. I love Paris in this episode, her first date is hilarious although totally believable. Poor Lorelai, Chris was so mean to leave her to explain.
Haunted Leg: This episode Chris comes to a Friday Night dinner uninvited to try and get Lorelai and Rory to speek to him and i have to say that Emily is pretty awesome in that scene. We also have some great Rory and Jess scenes in this episode and you just know that by the end of the season they will probably be together. Clip. Rory finally gets her application for Harvard through the post and after a school event interviewing making her realise she needs help desperately. Luke and Lorelai speak at the high school about their careers after Lorelai is swindled into it by an old "friend" and in turn persudes Luke to join her. Lane Dyes her hair bright purple for a whole five minutes before wimping out and dying it back to black again before he mother sees her. Lorelai si cornered by the new weird neighbour into watering his lawn whilst he is off on a business trip. This chore she then paws off on Rory who has trouble with the equipment and Jess has to come and rescue her. Clip. Take the devilled Eggs:
Rory is invited to a baby shower little did she realise green is the new pink and with that everything goes wrong. First off Lorelai gets roped in and can't cope with Sherry and her thanking of sending Chris back to her. The town gathers for a demonstartion which worries Taylr but makes for a bunch of laughs for everyone else. Clip Jess buys himself a car much to the hate of Lane. Lorelai is determined to win the trophy for the dance contest this year and after not finding anyone else she gets Rory to be her partner. Rory was going to sit with Dean and introduce him to the competition but Lorelai guilt trips her into it. Let the games begin:
After winning the dance marathon again Kirk is overjoyed and keen to throw it in anyones face until his trophy is stolen. Rory and Lorelai are still suffering: Clip Rory is still upset from her break up with Dean but things take a step forward for her and Jess. Clip
Lorelai is not sure how she feels about this relationship. Clip And Luke tries to control things: Clip Richard corners Rory at a Friday night dinner and invites her and Lorelai on a road trip he is taking up there with Emily. Things become very stressful for the whole family when they realise the only reason for the trip is for Richard to try and get Rory to chnage her mind and attend Yale rather than Harvard. Rory and Lorelai leave very quickly afterwards but things are starting to chnage for Rory's future as her and Lorelai both start to consider Yale. The Big One:
After Rory and Paris are asked to combine their speeches (clip) (clip) Paris finds out that she did not get into Hrvard and has a break down on stage telling everyone (including the new cameras) that she ruined her future by sleeping with Jamie and that Hrvard does not want her. Rory tries to patch things up with the speech and make Paris feel better but the damage is done. Lorelai comes face to face with Max again as he returns to Chilton. Rory gets home to four “big” envelops. Clip
Tales of Poes and Fires:
Stars hollow is hosting the Poes society and most of them are staying at the inn so when the inn burns down in the middle of the night everyone has to be re homed leading to some difficulties. clip Rory and Lorelai try to decide between Harvard, Yale and Princeton. The eventual decision is made...

Rory is fretting over finals and so when Luke tells Lorelai that Jess has left town she decides to keep it from her but eventually has to tell her. Lorelai and Rory return from Europe and find out that they have miscalculated how long they have before they have to be at Yale. They run out of time for all of their plans and upset a lot of people in the course meaning Rory upsets Taylor and Lorelai yet again upsets Emily when she keeps Rory for too long at Friday night dinner. clip Luke has also returned from his cruise with the news of his marrioage and impendning divorce. Sookie ftells of the impending birth of her son but Jackson and Rory do not want to know. Rory and Lorelai drop off all their gifts with everyone but realise that they have forgotten Luke.
The Lorelais first day at Yale:

Rory is home for the weekend (clip) and finds out that this is the weekend that Dean is getting married. Rory tries to avoid the whole thing but bumps into Dean and after awkward chit chat he invites her to the wedding with Lorelai. Lorelai is having problems with the inn after she finds out that she has to have permits for the Inn. The Fundamental things Apply:
Rory goes out on her first date since Jess moved away and her roomates are having differences which mean that for the first time she nearly misses breakfast but Marty (naked guy) helps her out. Lorelai invites Luke over for a traditional movie evening but Rory rings from her date in bordem and desperate for help which to Lorelais amazement Luke provides. Lorelai is annoying Sookie when she will not hire the decorator they like because Emily used her a while ago.

Luke hires Lane at the diner and is overwhelmed by how good she is. Rory is even more upset with Paris's new man when she finds out that he will be teaching her class. Jason and Lorelai decide to keep their relationship a secret from her parentsand Richard is stressed when the historical society has a open house in their home.

Lane sneaks out of the house in the middle of the night to play a gig with the band and after their slot is cancelled rather than going home she goes to stay with Rory causing her mum to panic and then discover her daughters secret life. Luke and Nicole argue in front of everyone. Richard and Emily reach out to each other when he makes changes to his mothers wishes to make Emily happy.

Taylor returns from his cruise looking completely differently. Clip Jasons dad informs Emily and Richard that Lorelai and Jason have been dating for months and that he is suing them. Kirk informs the town that the reason it smells so much is that he didn't make a map for the easter egg hunter and that there are mouldy eggs still hidden all over the town. The town pitches into help but they do not find all of them until Luke comes to the unexpected rescue. Dean tells Rory that he plans to drop out of college for a while and thinking it was Lidsays fault she has harsh words for her which she unfortunately overhears. Jasons father and Richard manage to fix their issues and leave Jason out in the cold. Lindsay asks Dean to stop being friends with Rory but they do not agree.

Luke and Lorelai go on their first official date and he takes her to an old pub owned by friends of his and shows her a horoscope that Lorelai gave to him the very first time they met. Of course this very cute date leads to the morning after, when on the hunt for coffee Lorelai walks down into the diner thinking it can't possibly open without Luke to find a room full of people. After grilling Logan about Rory's future plans Richard is growing more and more concerned but Logan mistakes the conversation for something else and gets a little upset. We pick up the day after the last seasons finale. Lorelai wakes up in bed with Christopher, confused and upset so not wanting to confront those feelings she makes a hasty exit ignoring Christopher's pleas to stay. Trying to deal with her feelings Lorelai decides to get rid of everything which reminds her of Luke, nearly emptying the house.
Things seem to be going better for Rory's relationship but the gift she recieves from him confuses her as to it meaning. Rory goes home to see if her mum has any insight but they end up playing sport to try and get their minds off things. Rory finnally works out what the rocket means and decides she will go to London to be with Logan but when she rings him, she finds out that he has brought her a ticket for Christmas. Lukes diner is recked when Kirk drives a car into the front of it. Luke finally decides to sell his boat when Liz asks for her garage back.

Lorelai plans a trip to go to Mia's wedding in North Carolina and tries to persuade Rory to go with her but Rory tells her she is too busy. Rory then has a fight with Logan after she agrees with his father and so decides the trip will be a good break. Emily hears about the plans and invites herself along in and effort to get away from Richard. At the wedding Emily is upset about the special bond between Mia and Lorelai. Lorelai learns that Emily came to Mia five years ago to ask for pictures to Lorelai and Rory growing up, during the years when they did not speak. Logan makes a surprised appearance at the ceremony, at first Rory sends him away but then they manage to patch things up. Meanwhile Lane and Zach ask Luke to be godfather to their twins and after some hesitation he agrees. Lane goes into labour and Luke helps Zach to the hospital.

Instead of the usual festival Taylor decides to put a huge hay bale maze through the whole of town for the Spring festival, people are upset but are persuaded round it when they finally see it. Richard and Emily throw a party in honour of Rory's graduation. Christopher and Lorelai finally have a chat. Logan surprises everyone at the party by proposing to Rory but she is too overwhelmed to answer and ends up discussing it with Lorelai to no avail. On Graduation day Rory and Paris recieve their diplomas and Rory answers Logan. Meanwhile, Lorelai is embarassed after her Karaoke and tells everyone it did not mean anything upsetting Luke.Bon Voyage

Rory gets a job following the Presidential campaign of Obama for an online magazine cutting the summer holiday plans with Lorelai short, she prepare to leave in three short days. Emily can see the Friday night dinners slipping away and she tries everything to get Lorelai to borrow money from her. Meanwhile Luke is still trying to find out how he feels about Lorelai. After the entire town were not allowed to attend Rory's graduation Lorelai tries to get a party at her house but too many people want to come so they move it outside to the town square. Lorelai is the one who has to tell them the party is cancelled due to the immediate departure of Rory. The town is really upset and so they, led by Luke decide to have their own party.
Things starts off really well but go terribly wrong when Babette's ankles swell, predicting rain. Luke works all night and makes a huge tent so that the party can still go ahead. Lorelai is so overwhelmed by the gesture that she and Luke finally get back on track.
We finish the series like we finished the first episode, Lorelai and Rory in Lukes drinking coffee.Okay guys so that is the end of this series but i will be back to add any clips that i find and other bits and bobs so although this is kind of over i will be back. So what did you think?
