Gossip Girls Season 5 news

Okay so this is a post now that we are coming to the end of the season with all the news you may need.

So for the first bit of news, Jessica Szohr and Taylor Momsen are not coming back for the next season of gossip girl it has been confirmed, which is sad because i really love Taylor Momsen.

Yummy shoes! Okay so what is Blair up to now? Oops Lily guess that's what you get. Yay fatherly bonding, that is what you need although don't listen to him about Vanessa. Okay so Blair you know this is never going to stay a secret. And Serena has made the stupid mistake of checking gossip girl. Wow that was bound to happen, lol Serena. And of course the cousin jumps of the bandwagon. Poor Chuck, seems he's still having issues. Poor Lily has been rejected although i thought that would happen.

Of course the guy has been found out and now Blair is being rejected. Maybe not. Blair meets up with Dan which starts rumours but gets him caught up into one of her plans. Serena, Eric and Rufus hatch a plan. Poor Dan he is caught up in it all again without even meaning to be. Looks like Eric and co pulled it off. Serena you should listen to her she just came clean. Raina meets her mum for the first time? Nope.


Rufus's plan did not go well obviously. And of course Blairs didn't go as well as thought anyway. Okay Lily what do you think you are doing!?! Chuck comes clean. Oooo Blair that was the best parting line. Okay Lily that was hilarious. After all that Blair and the prince go public. Dan rejects Vanessa in a big way. fun times. Looks like Chuck is losing again.

Gossip Girl Returns with a bang

Okay so here is a little recap of the first episode to return after the holiday break and my god its good:

Yay Gossip Girl is back- now I really missed these guys, especially Jenny although it has been speculated that she will not be back and has been suspended due to bad behaviour, but her character was the most interesting. Anyway quick recap of the season so far Nate is liking his dad at the minute and when he gets out they will live together. We found out what Juiliets problem with Serena is, and its all to do with that brother of hers although as always it seems the blam really lies with Lily. Lily is also the same with Chuck- trying to sell the company behind his back and Serena is on a mission to get Ben freed, she invited Dan along but he opted to stay behind with Blair.

Okay so Serena failed at helping Dan and when she gets back to Blair, there are a lot of awkward moments discussing Blair break and any mention of Dan hmm.. me thinks something went on threr. Then of course we have the catch up with Chuck who of course spent the break on holiday looking for his uncle and still managed to come home with two hot girls, how does he do it? And yes a party invite already. Okay so Nate seems to be having problems with his dad. Yay more awkward hugs between Serena and Dan. Yay awkward family brunch. Okay so Blair is up to something. Again.

Yay more Chuck swindling. Oooops not fast enough Chuck.

No no no Lily do you ever want to speak to your daughter again.

Yes Chuck that is what you need back up in the form of Serena- fab idea.

Yes Chuck- you are very good at sneaking around.  See Nate your dad is moving forwardish.

Yay Dan and Blair, although they do look kind of cute together.

Yes Blair drag your mother into the schemes.

Lol Serena and Chuck scheming again, she does look scarily like her mother. I love Chuck here. Makes it even more hilarious when he goes to see Lily although it is really sad to hear that his company is going down the drain.

Yes Blair that is true go on Serena listen to her, shes the smart one.

Yes Eric your mum is meaner than you thought. Oh dear Blair it looks like your mum has caught up to plan.

Yes Serena you are still being mean to Dan, just let him go.

Yes what would a episode be without a big party, and as with any party a scheme is under way. Yes Chuck you just got caught out again.

Oh poor Blair you just got fired by your own mother.

Yes Dan you just grew some balls I am very proud of you.

Nate please don’t cover for your dad, once a con always a con don’t let him drag you down.

Mother daughter bonding time for the waldorfs. No No No Dan you do not want her! She just makes your life worse.

No No No, don’t do it wow everyone seems to be making mistakes in this episode. Especially with Serena going to see the guy in jail again. 

Update

Okay so here is a quick update with quite a lot packed in so bear with me.

So most of my fave shows are taking a break over Christmas (Desperate Housewives, Vampire Diaries and Gossip Girl) but I have to say they have all managed to leave me hungry for more, Susan being almost dead on the pavement being the best cliff-hanger. I didn’t see what happened with Gabby’s biological daughter as my TV was having a moment but I thought the way they have played out that especially Juinata’s finding out. I am glad that all the bad feeling is gone between the housewives and the gay guys, they do seem to make life fun around the street. But here is a great promo for the next episode:



Vampire Dairies was really good this week with a lot going on. It was heart breaking every second Tyler and Caroline were on screen and it was good to see both of them with more screen time as they are both very awesome characters. It was also nice to see some good old sibling squabbles between Elena and Jeremy, and of course like with most of these episodes Damon shone, although I do think that the whole finding out if the new girl is a wolf or not was a little long winded.



Gossip Girl was also very good, I loved the way they brought everything together and it was good to see Blair and Dan on screen together they seem to have great chemistry when trying to save Serena. It was also good to see Jenny on screen even if it was only for a few moments; I do hope she gets a bit more screen action when the series returns in the new year. Okay so also since I last checked in there was the explosive last episode of Life Unexpected season 1, I really love this show and am a little disappointed that there will not be a season 3 although season 2 looks to be explosive and I can’t wait. Here is a promo to keep you hooked:



On the mention of really good cancelled shows, Dark Blue has recently been cancelled by it’s home network TNT. I am really upset about this as this is one of the best cop shows I have seen in a while but I am still going to watch season 2 when it comes round again.



You may also know that I am doing a episode by episode blog post about Gilmore Girls, I have been trying to update this as quickly as possible but as with all best laid plans it did not go entirely to plan with me now almost a week behind but have no fear people I will be back to this soon, I have not had a chance this week at all and I am sorry.

As you know Veronica Mars one of my most favourite programmes has just come to the end of its run again but have no fear I have discovered something new and almost as exciting. I have really gotten into Everwood in the last week or so, it stars, Emily VanCamp, a favourite from Brothers and Sisters. The rest of the cast is also pretty amazing. Of you have not yet seewn this TV show and I cannot believe that you haven’t, it is all about a man who moves his son and daughter to a small town called Everwood after his wife dies, they of course with any small town (think Gilmore Girls) meet some quirky characters but it seems to work for them.

Also this week we had the double bill of the final couple of episodes of Make it or Break it and I have to say I love this show, I cannot wait for it to come back again.



Leverage was also really good the past couple of weeks, although I have not seen the latest one so I will be interested to see how they cope without an office and all going in different directions but I am sure they will work it out, they have to I am really excited to see what happens with this.

Pretty Little Liars is kind of annoying me a bit now, I don’t see it going anywhere, but I will stick with it in the hope that it will get better.

Okay so I know I have already said this in another post but 90210 is coming back guys! SENIOR YEAR BABY! HELL YEAH! Now I know I have been asking for this for ages but now that it is here I remember how bad the storylines have been in the past, hopefully this year will be better, I mean we have so much to talk about, what with the assumed rape, the drunken car crash and the evil guy setting fire to the boat but the most important thing in my mind at least was Annie and Liam. Also brand new in January is Glee, now I know I am way too far behind in this as it is almost half way through in the US but of course being the UK we have only just started it now. So here is a promo:


In my browsing of many different TV websites I have decided I have to see Melissa and Joey, it looks hilarious.


Okay so i think i have covered everything, i will continue putting up the lists i started.

Okay quick update on all things TV this week

Okay first and most important i think, was the return of Jenny Humphrey to the upper east side, and oh the drama this caused, i think that this was the best thing they could have done- bring Jenny back, she is one of the best characters. After all the negative press about her recently including a damning interview with Tim Gunn, guest star in this weeks episode about what a spoilt brat she is, she still managed to come off amazingly in this episode, I'm sorry Tim but i don't care. I love Taylor Momsen!

 

Then there was the awesome Mentalist episode which i loved! Poor Jane though i feel really bad for him. 

Also there was the second episode of Pretty Little Liars and i have to say i am really getting into this show- i know i said i wasn't sure about it at the start and i wasn't but it seems to be getting a lot better. 

 

I have to say my fave character character has to be Aria but they are all pretty amazing actresses. 

And then of course there was the other abc Family drama which has made head way over here, Make it or Break it. This is just getting juicy, i think that i love all of these girls and i cannot wait for the next episode.

There are just a few changes to be aware of, One Tree Hill is back at its usual time of 10pm but it is a season finale and so there is a double bill until midnight, so excited, it looks really good:

Gossip Girl Recap

okay so i finally caught up with Gossip girl last night and i am kicking myself for putting it off- it was such an awesome episode.
First of all we had fake cat fights! (need i say more) High end fashion and big revelations.
Revelation 1: Juliet is up to something sneaky (now i know we kind of knew this already but hot guy in prison jumpsuit, you just know things are going to get bad.)

Revelation 2: Nate has grown some balls! Now i know that this is not such a big thing but it was good to see him ignore one of Serena's come hither looks.

Revelation 3: well this is not really a revelation for all you long term fans but it was fun to see Rufus's face when he found out about Chuck and Jenny from the first season. Now do you think that Lily's permanently had Rufus's balls or do you think he might escape.
Revelation 4: Biggest of all - it is not Dan's baby. well we all kind of knew this but it was nice to have it confirmed.

Okay so revelations out of the way- what the hell else happened in this episode? Oh yes, Blair and Serena started at Columbia and both (after some hassle) got into the exclusive club. Nate chose Juliet over Serena yet again and gave back the black book. Chuck turned up in New York and introduced Eva to his 'family'. Dan and Vanessa moved in together. so yeah quite a lot happened but i think it is only going to get better once Jenny is back on the scene. There have been pictures of Taylor filming on set and i am interested to see what will happen with her seeing as Blair vowed to kill her if she ever set foot in Manhattan again. anyway there have been pictures and i am so excited.

So i have just caught up on the first episode of the new season of Gossip Girl. i was a little bit worried after reading other peoples reviews that it was going to be really bad and that i was going to be really disappointed but i was pleasantly surprised. saying this though i kind of have a feeling that this may be the end of Gossip Girl after this season, with all the actors becoming more and more successful in their own right with their other projects and talk of Serena (Blake) wanting out and talking to writers about how to kill her off?!?!? Anyway all that is beside the point, i think this season is going to be better than ever especially when we get Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) back in the picture.
So what happened in the season premiere you may ask well i am about to tell you so look away now if you haven't seen it yet.
we find that Blair and Serena have been living it up in Paris, Serena with a steady influx of different men and Blair with a steady stream of shopping making it back to her hotel room. They both seem happy enough and when Blair bumps into a man staring at her favorite picture in the gallery and she suspects him of being a royal of Monaco she is over the moon. She then finds out that her date wants to make it a double with Serena and his friend and Blair agrees. She then finds out that he is not in fact the Royal but Serena's date is and in a fit of jealousy she pushes Serena into a fountain. Queue one very wet Serena who still manages to look extremely hot. Blair also finds out Serena has got into Columbia with her and is even more angry. She tries to get out of her date when Serena asks the "royal" for a lift home and finds out that she is indeed on a date with a royal and that he had swapped places with his driver to make sure that she was not just using him. Poor Blair.
Back in New York we find that Nate has been taking full advantage of Chuck's little black book which of course gets him into trouble, he takes one of his "dates" out to breakfast and meets a girl he think he might actually like as his date wanders off with some other guy behind his back. we then meet this mysterious woman again at Elanor's event at Lily's and Rufus's who have just gotten back from visiting Jenny and her mother. her name turns out to be Juliet and Nate is taken in by her and when she offers to "Talk" he takes her up on it. Now she is up to something because right at the end of the episode we see her living in a very tiny apartment and putting on very nice clothes with the labels still attached, she also has some kind of stalkerish board up on her wall with all of the Gossip Girl crew up on her wall. hmmm... what is she up to i wonder.
Then there is the whole drama with Dan and Georgina, at the end of last season she turned up heavily pregnant claiming it is Dan's baby, we open this season with quite an old looking baby but a baby nonetheless and both her and Dan looking after it in Rufus's old apartment, apparently without telling anyone apart from Nate. Georgina seems to be in trouble some how with weird phone calls happening all the time. Vanessa turns up back from her trip and finds out why Dan has been MIA and tells him he has to tell Rufus. Dan doesn't get there in time as Georgina turns up at the event at Lily's with baby in tow. Dan rushes over to explain and Rufus demands a paternity test when Dan says he hasn't done one. Georgina produces documents which apparently show that Dan is in fact the father and after a phone call with the doctor who signed them Dan signs the birth certificate. At the end of the episode we see Georgina leaving for a spa, leaving baby with Dan, who knows whether she will come back?
and then finally we catch up with Chuck, through the episode Lily has been issued with papers saying that Chuck has not paid any bills and has been making weird purchases on his credit card, she rings around trying to find him, much to Rufus's anger and finally she gets a phone call saying the police has found a body washed up with his identification and wallet in the pocket. But we know one better, Chuck is not in fact dead, some beauty dragged him to a hotel room and patched him up, we see flashes of his past and it seems he is regretful of his past, together they travel to Paris and he uses a different name? who knows why because i always loved his line about "Because I'm Chuck Bass" but maybe he has moved on. i am looking forward to seeing what Blair will do when she sees him, but that is all for next week.

i have only had the pretty reckless album now for a couple of days now but i have become slightly addicted, i was also thrilled to find out today that Taylor will be coming back to gossip girl later on in the season, so in support of that i have created these blends i hope you like them, i enjoyed making them. credit where credit is due for the photography, only did the editing.

Lack of summer TV

okay so as usual i have been totally bored this summer with the rubbish weather and the lack of any good TV shows luckily with autumn drawing in now i don't have long to wait before they all come back yay! I have been watching all the previews this past week and the one which has stuck with me is the Vampire diaries one with Taylor Momsens' song Make me wanna die, i am loving her whole new album at the minute i am obsessed with it.(definitely should check it out) But anyway i love the video you should definitely check it out even if you are not a fan of the program there is some serious hotness going on with Ian Somerhalder!

i also cannot wait for Gossip Girl to come back i am having Chuck withdrawals, i think the whole is he dead thing is over if you have been on the internet recently and have seen the pictures from on set. Let me tell you i cannot wait and i cannot wait to find out what Blair says when she sees him an appaently changed back from the dead man. OMG indeed i cannot wait.
