Rant Rant Rant

okay, so i thought i would just take this opportunity to have a bit of a rant and moan. i am rather annoyed that here in the UK we are so far behind, i mean look at how far behind we are on 90210- in America they are already well into season three and there is no sign of it making an appearnce her in the UK anytime soon.
so in the rest of this post i have scoured the internet for trailers and tidbits of shows i would like to see make their way over here asap;

Chase

Now i really like the look of this one, a bit of girl power i think going on but at the same time, it looks like it is well written and acted. the action looks real and i think that i could really enjoy this programme.

Parenthood

Okay so , this is a brand new show from NBC and personally i think it was a good choice for Lauren Graham, although i don't think she is going to beat Lorelai Gilmore, but this does suit her. The rest of the cast look amazing and like they can all act even the younger elements of this rather large main cast. I really cannot wait for this one, i think it is going to have a Brothers and Sisters feel to it but more real, if that makes any sense.

Hellcats

Okay now, i know it is quite sad but i am a big fan of the Bring it on movies and i think this programme has that kind of feel to it just with way better music, check out some of the other promos, the music is just awesome. I also think it is going to be good because they have some of the best actors thrown in from previous projects such as One Tree Hill, which is just amazing, and if it is anything like Ten Inch Hero (a film i definitely reccomend) it will be amazing.

The Secret Life of The American Teenager

Now i think that this one would be amazing, in a teenage trash kind of way, which is what i love best. i tyhink that seeing as it is now several seasons in, in America it must be a sucess and i just hope they launch it over here asap. From past experience abc has produced some amazing comedy family dramas like this one and i have loved them, so why should this be any different?

Make it or break it

Now from the fact that i love the film Stick It, i think that this one would be a success in my eyes, but look at it, again it is an abc original which imply some kind of quality but it also has great montages and great music. the mix of drama and athletics is there, i think it is going to be great.

okay so i know a lot of you aren't necessarily from the UK and do not have to put up with the waits like i do, do you think i am looking forward to the right shows? any others that i have to see? Comment me and i will check them out.

Blame the ironing

This blog has been on the net for nearly a month now. by now you must be wondering where my deep love of TV programmes and my ability to watch so many every week comes from. Well, i blame it on the ironing. Every Sunday i get up and the one chore i have to do is the huge heap of my family's ironing. now this used to bore me quite a bit because i didn't realise i could in fact multitask! yes i could stick a dvd in and watch 2-3 hours of my favorite movies , but then after quite a few weeks of this i realised i was bored of watching the same DVDs over and over again and without a disposable income of my own i could not afford a new DVD every week. i then discovered i could in fact record all those TV shows i had been wanting to watch during the week. and so the obsession began. i know sad really. i began to watch all sort of things, including: (very long list to follow):

 90210

 Ashes to Ashes

Brothers and Sisters

Cold Case

Dark Blue

Desperate Housewives

Friends

Gilmore Girls

Glee

Gossip Girl
 Heartland

Leverage

Life Unexpected

Melrose place

One Tree Hill

Roswell

The OC

Torchwood

Vampire Diaries
Veronica Mars
Wildfire

I hope to cover some of these obsessions in following posts as some of the other ones which were cancelled before their time (Veronica Mars, Roswell) do not get enough recognition. Help to keep them alive with me and the help of other people in the Blogs world.

Leverage

Okay so i have finally seen the first episode of Leverage, and i have to say i wasn't sure about it in the first couple of minutes but by the start of the first set of adverts i was really into, i love the cast, they have a really good chemistry and they seem to click well. the storyline was great, i didn't particularly like the flashbacks, i would have liked them to be a bit more in depth- tell me something about the character. i am really intrigued though by the whole dead son bit. i am intrigued enough to have set up the rest of the series for record.

coughs and sneezes spread daytime TV!

Okay so i have managed to catch just about every cough, cold and sneeze going at the minute and generally feel awful most of the time, on the plus side i get to stay at home and watch - wait for it- really good daytime TV, and i am just so thankful to E4 for their amazing line up at the minute.
Okay so first of all i start my day of at the ranch with Heartland and their amazing cast- yes i have already seen this before but somethings never get old- like Ty's face- sooo hot. I also love Mallory and find her hilarious.

Then it is on to deseperate housewives and we have just done the skipping of five years and personally i think they are all the better for it, better drama, better cast, amazing storylines!

After that we catch a little bit of a nap as i can't stand The Hills, they all drive me insane! Too fake for me - haha i know reality show but i just can't stand it.
Then at 8 we catch up with Veronica Mars one of my faverite TV shows of all time- i love the whole cast and the writing is amazing and the hot guys and the drama- oh i could go on but i think to get the full effect you should check it out yourself rather than listen to me rave about it.

And then we start to repeat ourselves a bit - which is fine because when i have been as ill as i have been i tend to zone in and out a bit but then we get to 10.20 after a good dose of friends we get to probably my fave show of all time Gilmore Girls- this is  simply an awesome show- the writing is amazing, the comedy is there but in a clever way and most of all Lauren Graham is beaming out the screen at me and i suddenly feel a hell of  a lot better. thank Gilmore Girls. i heart you.

Now this is just the start of it but i have covered all the really important ones so i will let you get your teeth into those and then i will cover some of the other things which do or have appeared in the long long history of really good daytime TV.

ooo la la

So i have just caught up on the first episode of the new season of Gossip Girl. i was a little bit worried after reading other peoples reviews that it was going to be really bad and that i was going to be really disappointed but i was pleasantly surprised. saying this though i kind of have a feeling that this may be the end of Gossip Girl after this season, with all the actors becoming more and more successful in their own right with their other projects and talk of Serena (Blake) wanting out and talking to writers about how to kill her off?!?!? Anyway all that is beside the point, i think this season is going to be better than ever especially when we get Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) back in the picture.
So what happened in the season premiere you may ask well i am about to tell you so look away now if you haven't seen it yet.
we find that Blair and Serena have been living it up in Paris, Serena with a steady influx of different men and Blair with a steady stream of shopping making it back to her hotel room. They both seem happy enough and when Blair bumps into a man staring at her favorite picture in the gallery and she suspects him of being a royal of Monaco she is over the moon. She then finds out that her date wants to make it a double with Serena and his friend and Blair agrees. She then finds out that he is not in fact the Royal but Serena's date is and in a fit of jealousy she pushes Serena into a fountain. Queue one very wet Serena who still manages to look extremely hot. Blair also finds out Serena has got into Columbia with her and is even more angry. She tries to get out of her date when Serena asks the "royal" for a lift home and finds out that she is indeed on a date with a royal and that he had swapped places with his driver to make sure that she was not just using him. Poor Blair.
Back in New York we find that Nate has been taking full advantage of Chuck's little black book which of course gets him into trouble, he takes one of his "dates" out to breakfast and meets a girl he think he might actually like as his date wanders off with some other guy behind his back. we then meet this mysterious woman again at Elanor's event at Lily's and Rufus's who have just gotten back from visiting Jenny and her mother. her name turns out to be Juliet and Nate is taken in by her and when she offers to "Talk" he takes her up on it. Now she is up to something because right at the end of the episode we see her living in a very tiny apartment and putting on very nice clothes with the labels still attached, she also has some kind of stalkerish board up on her wall with all of the Gossip Girl crew up on her wall. hmmm... what is she up to i wonder.
Then there is the whole drama with Dan and Georgina, at the end of last season she turned up heavily pregnant claiming it is Dan's baby, we open this season with quite an old looking baby but a baby nonetheless and both her and Dan looking after it in Rufus's old apartment, apparently without telling anyone apart from Nate. Georgina seems to be in trouble some how with weird phone calls happening all the time. Vanessa turns up back from her trip and finds out why Dan has been MIA and tells him he has to tell Rufus. Dan doesn't get there in time as Georgina turns up at the event at Lily's with baby in tow. Dan rushes over to explain and Rufus demands a paternity test when Dan says he hasn't done one. Georgina produces documents which apparently show that Dan is in fact the father and after a phone call with the doctor who signed them Dan signs the birth certificate. At the end of the episode we see Georgina leaving for a spa, leaving baby with Dan, who knows whether she will come back?
and then finally we catch up with Chuck, through the episode Lily has been issued with papers saying that Chuck has not paid any bills and has been making weird purchases on his credit card, she rings around trying to find him, much to Rufus's anger and finally she gets a phone call saying the police has found a body washed up with his identification and wallet in the pocket. But we know one better, Chuck is not in fact dead, some beauty dragged him to a hotel room and patched him up, we see flashes of his past and it seems he is regretful of his past, together they travel to Paris and he uses a different name? who knows why because i always loved his line about "Because I'm Chuck Bass" but maybe he has moved on. i am looking forward to seeing what Blair will do when she sees him, but that is all for next week.

I cannot wait for next week but until then, au revoir my lovelies
