Catch Up Ramble

Oh wow i am sorry guys i didn't realise how long it had been, i have just been so busy this year what with starting university and everything, but guess what summer is officially here even if as i type the rain i spounding on the roof and making it really hard to concentrate.

So to get back into the swing of things i thought i would do sort of a rambling obbsessions list with what  i have been watching, reading and listening to recently.

OKay so as you probably know in the UK you get a student loan whan you start university (basically a hand out from the government) which you do not have to repay until later on in life sand i was lucky enough to have amazing parents who did some saving for me also so i was by no means starving my first year , on the other hand i wasn't rolling in it, anyway the point of this is that i had a little bit of money to spare at the end of the year and along with updating my wardrobe i also allowed myself a few treats in the amazon, itunes and HMV areas.

So first off music, my latest obession is the new album by Linkin Park which is closer to some of their older more amazing songs.
My obession songs at the moment are BURN IT DOWN and LOST IN THE ECHO, two amazing songs which i like to belt out whilst i am driving around this summer.

My next musical obession is the new single by Slaughterhouse which features Cee Lo Green, My Life and it is just tooo awesome for words, another which i know all the words to. I am looking forward ti their new album which is due for release soon because if all the songs are anything like this i will be buying this album.

Okay so then we move onto TV, now i think E4 has got it just right at the minute and i love their line up, including some of the best imports the US had to offer last year. I am obessed with both 2 Broke Girls and Revenge, I am also loving the latest Big Bang and the Aprtment 23, I am looking forward to the rest of the first season of New Girl and starting Suburgatory this week.






I ahve just recently caught up with the guys from TVD and i think the season finished on a real high i cannot wait for fall, this is why i am slightly annoyed they have pushed back their start dates this year but if next season is as good as this season was i will forgive them. I am also forgiving them because Hart of Dixie, another CW import which airs in the Uk on Really every Monday night at 8pm is pretty amazing.

I have yet to catch up with this years offering from the Gossip Girl crew but i am sure i will find the time this summer, so shh don't ruin it for me.

I am also loving the new season of Rookie Blue which i am keeping up with because they just keep amazing me.

I am rewatching Veronica Mars beuase it is just so awesome and because then i can keep up with the recaps on TV.com done by the hilarious Price Peterson- he is just too awesome for words.

I am still going with Numb3rs the Secret Life, Jane by Design  need to catch up with the last couple of episodes of Make it or Break it. I am also watching Leverage season 2 again, Hereos season 1 and Degrassi season 8.

They are reshowing One tree Hill, Gilmore Girls, Life Unexpected, Heartland and loads of other awesome shows at the minute, so with the crappy weather now is definutely the time to snuggle up with a good dose of any of these shows.
I will do a complete line up soon. I will also take you through the new shows i am most looking forward to.

Okay so i haven't really had much of an opportunity to watch movies this year and so am a little behind but am obessed with the Daniel Craig remake of the Dragon Tattoo movie even though i have pfficially given up on trying to read the books. Speaking of books made into films i was really disappointed with the first offering of the Breaking Dawn movies and ididn't actually make it to the end, however i have not given up hope and i will be queing on release night for the second installment. As i have finally finished reading the Hunger Games trilogy i am looking forward to watching the movie but i am not going to rush, there is ages until the next one comes out. My movie obession through this years was probably BUrlesquue and it got me through my first year, we had many a girly night in with this movie and i now have some fond memories including it.


I kept the best till last, i have spent a fortune on Amazon recently and so i have a lot to talk about.

First of all as i hinted before i have finished reading the Hunger Games books and they are amazing, they had me hooked from the very first page, i even had to go out and buy the third one from ASDA in the middle of the night, yep became slightly obbsessed.

My newest discovery is S.J.Bolton, i recently read her book, NOw YOu See me and i have her other two books on  order from Amazon right now, just waiting for a delivery.

I have also read the rest of the Shakespear series from Charlaine Harris and was really impressed after being slightly let down by the other mystery series she had to offer. I have also finished the Harper Connelly series and thought that that was awesome. The latest Sookie Stakehouse book is also on order.

I have ordered the rest of the Blue Bloods Series by Melissa De La Cruz but i am actually saving thos for when i go on holiday. I have also completed my house of night collecction and will be taking the latest few on holiday.

I was really impressed with Sophie McKenzie's, Girl Missing and have the second of that series on order.

But i think my stand out book at the minute is Hunting Lila by Sarah Alderson which kept me guessing until the very end, the second is due for release later this summer and yes i have preordered it ready.


Okay so i think i have covered everything there. I will be back soon guys and i will go a bit more in deapth into some of the things covered in this post.

Okay so we have now swapped Damon and Katherine for Stefan and Klaus, just what we need. Okay so are we ready to kill off Matt now? God that's taken a while. And he was the only one we have seen at school in ages, so he was one of the smart ones, shame. Okay so he's not dead, just scared shitless by his friends. Well we knew he would catch up with you eventually Elena. Okay so it turns out Klaus is back for Prank night and by the looks of it he has a different plan for it.
Hah there's a Jermey in the trunk, bet even you didn't see that coming Damon. Aww more cute Tyler Caroline moments, even if they were talking about Matt. Well that's one way to break it up being killed by the evil sister. Poor Matt he's so oblivious. Haha Rebecca and Klaus are hilarious together. Well thats one way to get the witch to do your bidding Klaus, although did we really need to upset Caroline like that. Oh wow this is going so well. Taking away his will is one way to get him to obey, poor Stefan. Okay so it seems to going quite badly right now Bonnie. What are you doing Matt, follow the lost clothes. Well thats a crazy kind of plan Matt. I see Dead Matt. Oh Okay turns out Bonnie is better at CPR than she looks.
 I don't think that is going to work somehow Elena. Nope, he's definitely going to catch you. Nope Klaus is followed closely by Stefan. Okay so handing out Elena's blood, when did that become the norm?  Oh so he didn't completely kill you, Elena? Damon's back to save the day, well sort of. Aww good Lena is saved and they Tyler/ Caroline romance is still on. Aww more Damon and Elena bonding time it seems. Well thats going to make things awkward.

Oh yes I think this week is definitely going to be good. Haha so Blair is still denying this? Why did she just delete her whole phone book, that won't help you Ivy. Okay so Vampire Diaries are back again.

Why is Damon always drinking? Yay Katherine’s back, she always makes life more interesting. Okay so Stefan is still travelling, surely Klaus is bored by now, or maybe seeing as he is supposed to be smart, he has gone to check on Elena. Yay a flashback episode, why are these never as good as they want them to be. Okay so Stefan is being bad and apparently he has an blonde bombshell to trail after. Okay so I would be happy if I woke up next to Damon. Why is Caroline still locked up, I thought Tyler had got her out of that, ouch, apparently not, evil daddy still has her. 

Oh don’t be boring Elena, surely you brought something more interesting to read than Stefan’s old diary. Poor Caroline, its not going well for you.  Okay so last time you and Damon followed Stefan it went horribly wrong, what are you doing Elena? 

Okay so Klaus had/s a sister. Oh Had. Nope has. Sucks to be the boyfriend in that equation Stefan. Oh you were mean and gross Stefan. Even Damon it seems goes to the bar maid for help. Ooops wrong place, wrong time Elena again although it seems you are also very very lucky this time. Okay so Damon and Elena just need to get together already. Eww, that Stefan was horrible. It seems Carolines dad is also pretty horrible. Okay so mummy and daddy fighting over whether to torture their daughter? Poor Caroline she is stuck with some pretty bad parents.  Werewolf to the rescue, okay so Tyler and Caroline are so cute together. Ahh compulsion the answer to everything. 

Oops, guess you should have filled him in on that logic earlier Stefan, of course Elena was going to try and help. Poor Damon, you have got to stop picking fights with Klaus you just end up on the floor. Okay so Damon and Elena failed again. Aww Caroline and Taylor are such a cute couple. Haha I guess the sister doesn’t want to be your sister any more Klaus. Rebecca and Stefan together again.  And the drama just keeps on coming.

OMG Blair AND Dorota are BOTH pregnant, that's hilarious! haha Chuck is back in New York, this is going to be interesting. Okay there is something slightly wrong about Rufus baking like that. What are you trying to do, Dan? Slightly freak you are cyber stalking Chuck, Dan. Okay so who is the weird guy living with fake Charlie? Oh Max...who. Okay so Beatrice, with the strong perfume is the sister? Haha, poor Charlie, you are most definitely stuck. Yep in a amazing two bed apartment. Okay so Blair i don't think you are hiding it as well as you think, Chuck is most definitely not. Ooops Blair, sister is definitely onto you. Poor Nate, hung up on the wrong girl. You are being pushed into a very tight corner Blair, maybe you should just come clean. 

You're going to run, do you really think that is going to work? Don't think so fake Charlie. Blair using Dan as a scapegoat, i don't think he will appreciate that every much. Oh Blair, just felt the need to blurt that out, didn't you! Poor fake Charlie, you really are sinking.                                                                                               WTF Chuck, do you really have to do that, why do you need Dan to save you. Okay so I am sorry I have been kind of AWOL at the minute and I realise I am kind of behind but to kind of catch you guys up here is an update of all the shows I have been watching recently.

Every Week Day:
One Tree Hill 6am E4- They are still showing all of the old seasons through, we are now halfway through the fifth series. I will carry on updating the post i have done on all the episodes but i have been busy so if you haven't seen it yet here it is.
Gossip Girl 7.15am ITV2- Okay so they are reshowing Gossip Girl from the very begining every weekday morning. Currently we are in the middle of the previous series.
Gilmore Girls 9.25am E4- Okay so i know i have watched this several times through but I am still enjoying it so it will be on my watch list for as long as it is on TV.
The Real Housewives of New York  9.25am ITV2- Okay so I am now starting the fourth? series of this show and i have to say it is amazingly addictive, although i am not sure whether i will like it as much now that Bethanny has left, so I don't know.
Numbers ITV3- Okay so this show is showing round in circles again on ITV3 in the early hours of the morning. It tends to vary as to what time it is on so I would check before you set up a bumper record.

Monday
One Tree Hill 9pm E4- Okay so i know i have not updated my guide to this show in a while, i am just so busy at the moment. I am not upto date at all but i will catchup in the next couple of weeks, and then post the link to it here.
Made in Chelsea 10pm E4- Okay so it is back for a second season, and it seems the drama is even more so than last series.
Young Apprentice 9pm BBC- Okay so it is back for a second season and seeing as the first was so good, I am indeed going to be tuning in for the second.

Tuesday 
The Vampire Diaries 9pm ITV2- Okay so we have just started the third season and i have to say i am already hooked, i think it has a lot to do with the chemistry between Damon and Elena, just get together already guys. here is the first of my many posts on this season, here.
Death in Paradise 9pm BBC1- Okay so this is the new one on BBC One starting this week, i am actually quite looking forward to this one because of the main guy(Johnny English's sidekick) but i'm not sure about the storyline. I will give it a chance.  
The Body Farm 9pm BBC1- Okay so this is the programme that Death in Paradise will be replacing but i have yet to catch up on the latest couple of episodes, hence it still being on here.

Wednesday 
Gossip Girl 8pm ITV2- Okay so yes the new series has started only last week in fact and i am already hgooked right back in, tune in guys this season is going to be explosive! Here is last weeks update.
Human Target 9pm 5USA- Okay so i have only watched the first in season 2, on a couple of sweeks ago but i am planning on catching up soon. Unfortunately it is the last season as it was cancelled earlier in the year by its parent network, oh well guys, enjoy it whilst it lasts.

Thursday 
Hidden 9pm BBC1- Okay so this is a really clever new show on BBC1, it has Gene Hunt guy in it from Ashes to Ashes and i have to say i am loving the proper original British drama.
Educating Essex 9pm Channel 4- Okay so i find this strangely addcitive, as you have probably guessed by now, i do not watch TOWIE, but i find this documentary following a high school in Essex's strangely addictive. Check it out.
Southland 9pm More 4- Okay so a ireally like the first  series of this but completely missed the second. They are now showing the third season on More 4, so i will try and catch up with the second season online before actually watching this but i am recording.

Friday
DCI Banks- Okay so the books i have to say were not the best crime fiction i have ever read and so i was  little cautious about the TV adaptation but i was wrong to be it seems. The characters are believable, they do not seem to have moved from the original storyline even and yet i love it. I am a little bit annoyed that they have seperated the two part of each by a week but i have taken to recording the first week and watching it just before the second and so it works.
Have i Got News For You- Okay so i know i have never really talked about this show before but it is one of my all time faverites. They have just put a huge advertising campaign behind it and so the new series is amazing. It is a hilarious round up to the working week and i would definitely give it a go. I like to think of it as a much more interesting version of this weeks news.

Saturday 
Okay so at the moment there is not a whole lot going on on the Saturday. This is mainly because i do not follow Strictly come dancing until the Christmas Fianle when we have family over who really love it, and i also have fallen straight out of love with the XFactor. So Saturday  is a chance for me to actually get some work done, go out and socalise, you know, what normal people do.


Sunday 
Make it or Break it 4.45pm E4- Okay finally! E4, i cannot believe you made me wait this long! the Latest season is just starting in the Uk with the next series due to start sometime after Christma in the US. I love this show and have been missing it ever since it left us those many months ago. You Know where i'll be in a couple of hours time.

The OC 10am& 11am Really- Okay so as many of you may know I am completely obsessed with this show and even though I have all the seasons on DVD i was pleased to hear that it will yet again be hitting our screens, they have only been showing this for a couple of weeks and so are not that far in so a definite time to get yourself obsessed if you have never experienced this show before. 

Spooks 9pm BBC One- Okay so this is it guys, tonight is the last ever Spooks, there willl be no more. Okay so i don't know why i am doing this, i am not a die hard fan, i only really startied watching this a couple of series ago when they stopped making Waking the Dead, but i still follow it and am transfixed by my TV screen on a Sunday night at 9pm. Be There!





In other news:


I told you earlier in the year that E4 had brought the rights to Apartment 23 and New Girl but they have also confirmed that they will be showing 2 Broke Girls (CBS) but at the earliest this December, 90210 season 4 but not until January. They have also brought the rights to the new remake of Charlies Angles but seeing as they have only made 8 episodes in the US before it was cancelled, i don't know whether they will bother. New Girl is said to be with us in November and Apartment 23 in the early spring. Channel 5 have said they will be picking up the new series of The Mentalist and have even confirmed when, Jane will be back on our screens on the 11th November. Channel 5 have also confirmed they have the rights to the second season of Parenthood but will not be showing it until at least January. Castle is still unknown as to whether it will be back on Channel 5 but it seems to be back this side of Christmas on Alibi.
Now as many of you will know I was rather obsessed with Glee last year but since then E4 has refused to buy the rights for the third season and Sky snapped it right up. Season 3 is currently showing on Sky. I do not however get Sky and have not really bothered with it this time around. If I get some time I may well go back to it at a later date and watch it online or something but until then I just have too much going on. I also wanted to alert you to the fact that I will be taking on Greek as one of my step through guides. It is currently showing the second season on E4 in the mornings so I will be taking the time to hopefully catch up with another episode guide. Speaking of episode guides, I realise my One Tree Hill one has been down for a while, this is because I am currently updating it and it will soon be back hopefully up to date. I have also started The OC as a more in depth episode guide than you are used to from me and so this will take a little longer, I hope to have finished the first season by Christmas and have it up and running.

Okay I know I know I am so late with this but i have just been so busy, it turns out University takes up a lot more time than A-levels do! So anyway here it is and i will try to keep up to date.

The Hybrid
Okay so Second episode of the season and they have already killed off- how many people?!? Didn't see that one coming Damon, did you? See Stefan still has a heart, even if it is a bit messed up. Okay so i thought Vampires had incredible strength and speed, why are they looking so tired whilst trekking?

It's good to see Jeremy and Matt bonding even if it is over the dead sister. Okay so since when did Elena and Tyler get along so well? Okay so a whole fleet of Vampire werewolf hybrids, that is going to go down so well.
LOL, Tyler and Matt bonding is hilarious, although Tyler's face when he realises his mum tried to kill him, is hilarious.
